Single Block D Pinot Noir
Wine
Clyde Park Single Block D Pinot Noir is sourced from a 1998 planting of vines on a steep south facing slope. It is a cool climate site of MV6 clone Pinot Noir.
Fruit from Block D is handpicked. It is fermented with indigenous yeasts and some whole bunch inclusion, receiving hand plunging twice daily. The wine then matures in new and seasoned French oak barrels for 8-10 months.
Pale crimson, Clyde Park Single Block D Pinot Noir is a plump, juicy wine with fine but abundant tannin and generous length. Cellaring potential is 10 years.
